Cotton

All the cotton used in our t-shirts is certified organic according to the Global Organic Textile Standard. We are passionate about protecting our planet. The production of organic cotton uses 70% less water and 62% less energy than conventional cotton. Organic production means no toxic chemicals, pesticides or insecticides are used in production. This method is as much about keeping the farmers who grow the cotton safe as it is about protection the environment. And it's the kindest to your skin.

Yarns & Fabric

We are using slub and Marl cotton in our initial collection. Slub fabric is made with cotton yarn spun with slightly thicker sections. When woven, these sections create a textured pattern to the cotton which we believe creates the prefect drape. Marl cotton is created through the weaving of different coloured yarns into a single thread to create a deep melange of colour. Our Brilliant White and Saragasso Sea tees are slub, and our Harbour Mist tee is a grey marl. We love them all.

Weight & Quality

Quality is absolutely key at Loskey which is why we have made our tees to last. We have used high density cotton for our slub and marl jersey - 180 GSM. GSM stands for grams per square metre and is the standard measure of fabric quality. We were tired of tees that showed wear and tear after a few washes, so we have used the best quality cotton without sacrificing the comfort or fit of our tees. It also means that our tees are ideal to wear all year round, year after year.
